Step by step: from idea to finished draft

Step 1 — Start with something specific

The more concrete your input, the better the draft. Compare:

Step 2 — Generate the first draft

Step 3 — Keep the lines you love, rewrite the rest

Select the lines you want to change in the editor. A rewrite toolbar appears:

• Rhyme — swap in tighter rhymes and smoother flow
• Vivid — push the imagery and emotion further
• Punchy — make lines shorter and more rhythmic
• Custom — write your own instruction, like "darker tone" or "a metaphor about rain"

Only the selected passage is replaced. Everything around it stays exactly as you wrote it. If a rewrite misses, one click of Undo brings back the previous version.

Step 4 — Edit, copy, and take it with you

Treat the editor like any text editor: fix a word, move a line, add a section. When the draft feels right, use Copy or Download .txt to take it into your notes app, DAW, or voice memo.
